Bike to Work
May 19th is bike to work day. I am looking forward to it. For more info:
I love biking to work. I usually pass several S2/S4 buses en route and get to weave through traffic. Y'all should try it.The League of American Bicyclists is promoting Bike-to-Work Week from May 15-19 and Bike-to-Work Day on Friday, May 19.
For Bike to Work Week 2006, the League is proud to partner with Shimano American Corporation and Rodale.

How far is your biking commute?
I was talking to a kid from Brooklyn over Passover who bikes to work in Manhattan every day.
If I succeed (please god) in moving to downtown SS, I'll be biking too.
i work a couple miles away, its a really pleasant length.
silver spring has some bike lanes, right?
at a moderate pace you can do about 12-15 miles an hour, so i bet biking is a solid possibility, at least once in a while.
Do I have to bike if I normally walk instead? Dammit...
i think you can bike to a festival site and get some cool free stuff.
there is an ongoing machloket about whether one can acceptably walk there.
