Matzah Monopoly

A walk down the kosher food aisle reveals a dizzying variety of foods with a robust set of brands. Last I checked I saw Elite, Manischewitz, Rokeach, and Tradition. I assumed there was a healthy competition in this less than healthy sub-sector of the food market.
While doing some research on something vaguely related I found out that Manischewitz is actually owned by R.A.B. Foods. Apparently, over time, R.A.B. Foods has systematically acquired the lion's share of the independent (specifically) kosher food brands who make. R.A.B. Foods also owns Rokeach, Elite, and Tradition. No wonder the stuff tastes so bad, in overpriced, and not very healthy.
someone call the FTC there are significant anti-competitive practices in the kosher food industry. I am not sure if it rises to the level of a "conspiracy in restraint of trade" but it sure could be the reason for the general ickyiness of the stuff in the kosher food aisle.
