Straight Talk Express Derails

It seemed that John Edwards had become frank, direct, and had been speaking forthrightly. Then I read this:

John Edwards, speaking in an interview with The Associated Press, said he chose to become a consultant to Fortress Investment Group, a highly profitable hedge fund and private equity firm, in order to learn about the relationships between financial markets and poverty.

John's Straight Talk Express just derailed. No one goes to work at a hedge fund to learn about markets and poverty.
