Finding out Who Might Win in November

I just read this (h/t politicalwire):
Sen. Barack Obama "is attempting to crack open Pennsylvania’s closed party primary, initiating a program to flip the registrations of independent and Republican voters to Democrat," according to The Politico.

"The Pennsylvania strategy is aimed at giving Obama a head start by expanding the rolls by tens of thousands of voters ahead of the April 22 election."
If he can successfully convince a decent number of Republicans to switch that would auger very well for his chances to win in November. To get Republican and Indy folks to register Democrat would presumably involve attacking McCain (good). If this works, superdelegates could, and should, take notice.

Haven't republicans been strongly trending Hillary recently--the Limbaugh effect?
